Located near the very top of the Kaimai Ranges, Hoatu Lodge gets to touch the clouds nearly every day! We are an easy 20 minutes drive from Tauranga and 1 hour to Rotorua and Hamilton. Did we mention that we are just 20 minutes from Hobbiton??

Hoatu is set amongst a gorgeous cloud forest, green, tall and sweet smelling all year round. We have our own waterfall just an easy three minute walk from our front door. If you are feeling adventurous you could grab a torch and wander up to our glow worm tunnel once the sun goes down.

In the summertime you may like a swim in our swimming holes or maybe you would prefer to just lay out in the sun. In the wintertime we recommend curling up in front of our open fireplace and relaxing with a cuppa.
